One of my favorite things about weddings is working with couples who are creative and want to bring their own artistic flare into their wedding design!
This colorful fall wedding was filled with all kinds of gorgeous blooms. As stunning as wedding florals can be you just need a few flowers to enhance an already beautiful design. For this wedding the florals were carefully chosen to showcase the brides creativity and lead her guests on a visual story throughout the day.
This invitation and the collection of details from the wedding day are the perfect example of how to bring innovation into your wedding design that goes beyond bouquets.
THE PROCESS
The bride used a process called block printing. Block printing is the process of printing patterns by means of engraving the surface of a block. Most common materials to engrave are wood, rubber, or linoleum. Once the engraving is done, printing ink is rolled onto the surface and the block is flipped over and pressed onto the textile, which in turn leaves a relief print of the engraved image.
Obviously the printed visuals are fantastic all by themselves but the best part is they are a direct reference to their wedding venue.
Abloom Farm is a gorgeous old growth tree farm located in Saukville Wisconsin.
The property boasts beautiful gardens, manicured grounds, chickens, a beautiful farmstead with multiple barns, and 60 foot pine trees encapsulating you and your guests into your own private natural oasis.
The bride did a beautiful job of capturing the essence of the grounds through her chosen imagery. Just take a peek at those chickens, flowers, crop rows, and the little barn and silo.
Just perfect!
THE CEREMONY
As guests arrived for the ceremony they were greeted with a large canvas welcome sign and paper programs. Both elements were also hand printed and executed with impeccable detail.
THE WELCOME DETAILS
After the ceremony guests were invited to sign the couples guest book and find their seat assignments for the reception from this rustic chicken wire frame.
THE RECEPTION
Once inside the gorgeous barn guests were greeted again with beautiful printed details.
