Tucked in a quiet Milwaukee neighborhood just steps from downtown, The Fitzgerald is a place where history and romance intertwine. Its stately architecture set the tone for this styled editorial, where the feeling of a secret garden met the sophistication of pure editorial design.
The vision was steeped in lush tones of sage, olive, and ivory, accented by warm blush, wine, and deep burgundy. This palette pulled directly from nature yet refined with editorial edge—carried through every detail.

Planning & Tablescape Design
At the heart of the shoot, Indigo Moon Events brought the vision to life with thoughtful planning and design direction. Every element was intentionally curated to strike a balance between editorial structure and romantic layers.
The tablescapes became a study in contrasts: hard architectural lines mixed with layered fabrics, glowing candles, and artful place settings. Handblown glassware caught the light with a delicate shimmer, while vintage-inspired flatware, structurally detailed chargers, and textured linens added dimension. Plates layered with subtle tonal variations created depth, each setting becoming its own composition.
Candles in varying heights cast a warm glow across the table, echoing the editorial’s theme of drama softened by romance. Indigo Moon’s approach blended history, artistry, and modern elegance, weaving the vendor team’s contributions into a seamless story.

Floral Detailing & Statement Designs
Sage Floral LLC crafted lush floral layers that defined the editorial’s romantic garden aesthetic. The palette—sage, ivory, blush, wine, and deep burgundy—was translated into blooms that ranged from delicate garden roses to bold dahlias, accented by Amaranthus and unexpected greenery, even kale.
The ceremony pedestals stood tall and striking, layered with cascading florals that created a moment of living art, framing the models in a garden-like vignette. For the reception, a large statement piece on the reception table became the anchor of the design—an abundant installation of blooms spilling effortlessly across the tablescape, woven with pearls, softening its structured elements with organic movement.
The floral textures worked in harmony with velvet draping, brass accents, and pearl details, creating a world that felt lush, layered, and alive.

Statement Linens & Furniture
The tactile beauty of BBJ La Tavola’s warm, textured linens created the foundation for each tablescape. Their soft yet structured weaves added dimension and a sensory richness that perfectly complemented the editorial palette.
Layered on top were accent furniture and curated pieces from Parker Drive Events and Vintique Rental. Each chair, table, and accessory felt purposeful—an intentional nod to both history and modern elegance. Together, they created inviting spaces where guests might imagine lingering with champagne in hand.

Drapery That Defined the Space
Dream House Events transformed corners of The Fitzgerald into editorial-worthy vignettes with their dramatic drapery installations. Flowing panels in ivory and sage created moments of softness and movement, shifting the historic venue into an ethereal stage. These backdrops became the framework for portraits, cake displays, and intimate couple’s moments, elevating the atmosphere into cinematic grandeur.

The Veil – A Work of Art
The bride’s veil, crafted by Karla Roble, was more than an accessory—it was wearable art. Handmade with delicate attention to detail, it draped effortlessly over the bride, catching the light in quiet, breathtaking ways. Paired with pearl jewelry and modern gowns, the veil became the editorial’s signature touch: a bridge between classic romance and modern artistry all the way from California.

Fashion – Two Editorial Gowns
The editorial featured two striking gowns from Bon Bon Belle Bridal, each offering its own unique narrative.
The first, a sleek lace, form-fitting dress, was elevated by a swooping architectural neckline. Minimalist yet bold, it sculpted the bride’s silhouette in a way that felt modern, editorial, and daring.
The second gown, a strapless, drop-waisted ball gown in satin and lace, gave a soft nod to ’90s classic bridal fashion. Its voluminous skirt contrasted beautifully with the structured bodice, creating timeless romance with a modern reinterpretation.
Together, the gowns balanced architectural edge with nostalgic elegance—perfectly aligned with the editorial’s mix of structure and softness.

Accessories – Bridal Details that Completed the Look
No editorial bridal look is complete without the finishing touches, and Jaxie Bridal accessories brought an elevated layer of texture and refinement to both gowns. Delicate pearl drop earrings added a touch of understated luxury—glimmering softly with each movement, they echoed the opulence of the tablescape and the romantic glow of candlelight woven throughout the design.
Flat lays paired with ethereal lace gloves, the accessories introduced a moment of softness and couture-like drama, enhancing the visual story without ever overpowering the moment.
These pieces didn’t just accessorize—they completed the narrative. Each glove, each pearl, felt intentional, adding depth to the bridal styling and tying seamlessly into the editorial’s balance of modern structure and timeless grace.
The Beauty – Makeup
Ms Lauryn Marie created luminous bridal beauty with soft glows and subtle drama. Skin was left dewy and radiant, lips defined but understated, and eyes framed to draw just enough focus. The effect was elegance that photographed like a dream, enhancing the gowns and veil rather than overpowering them.

The Locks – Hair
Melissa Waulter Artistry styled hair with intentionality—soft waves and polished structure that felt timeless yet editorial. Each look was crafted to balance the strong lines of the gowns and the delicate textures of the veil, ensuring harmony across every frame of the shoot.

Models & Storytelling
The editorial unfolded in two unique storylines, captured beautifully by the photography team.
The Single Bridal Scene: One model stepped into the role of bride for an intimate “getting ready” narrative, showcasing the quiet beauty of bridal portraits. From soft light spilling across the veil to the architectural drama of the gowns, these moments reflected the editorial’s vision of elegance in its most personal form.
The Real Couple Scene: To bring the reception and celebration to life, a real couple joined the story. Together, they highlighted the romance of a full wedding day: gathering at the head table and guest table, exchanging vows at the ceremony pedestals, and even sharing a cake-cutting moment. Their presence added authenticity and warmth, grounding the editorial magic in real-life love and connection.
These two perspectives—the stylized bride and the real couple—wove together to show not just beauty, but also the heart behind it.
The Cake – Sculptural Elegance
The cake by Kindred Bakeshop was a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship. Three tiers of fluted detailing gave it architectural presence, while delicate structural and organic florals softened its form, creating harmony between art and nature.
At its base, the cake appeared to rest in a sea of pearls, echoing the editorial’s recurring motif of timeless elegance. It stood not only as a dessert but as a sculptural centerpiece—where texture, artistry, and romance converged in one breathtaking statement.

Stationery & Signage – Thoughtful Storytelling
Every paper detail from Iris Design Co. was crafted to echo the editorial’s balance of elegance and modern edge. A linen welcome sign set the tone at first arrival, blending texture with timeless charm. At each table, draped table numbers felt like sculptural accents—functional yet romantic.
The invitation suite played in contrasts: soft linens and ivory paired against bold typography and deeper hues, with a touch of elegant pearls. Together, these tactile pieces grounded the editorial in artistry and thoughtful storytelling, ensuring no detail was overlooked.

Capturing the Magic – Photography, Film & Content
No editorial is complete without the artistry of those behind the camera, and this creative team brought their own unique perspectives to the day.
Tiffany Christina Photography captured the soul of the shoot with a romantic, fine-art eye—leaning into soft light, intimate details, and painterly compositions that felt timeless and editorial all at once.
Allexx Bolander Photography brought an energetic, modern edge, framing bold lines and dramatic angles that highlighted the architectural beauty of The Fitzgerald and the striking fashion moments. Beyond digital, Allexx also captured moments on film, layering in the nostalgic grain and dreamy imperfection that only analog can bring—adding yet another timeless dimension to the story.
Through motion, Derrick Parsons Weddings elevated the day’s narrative into film—capturing the sweep of fabric, the movement of florals in the breeze, and the layered atmosphere of romance and celebration. His lens gave life to the still moments, reminding us that beauty often lies between the frames.
And with a modern touch, Unveil The Day documented the experience through curated content creation. Their eye for quick, captivating snippets ensured that the editorial lived not only in galleries and film, but also in scroll-stopping moments for digital storytelling.
Together, these four creative perspectives transformed the editorial into a multidimensional story—one event, captured in countless unforgettable ways.
